Our Guest:

Atikah Amalina

Atikah founded The Tudung Traveller, a social media platform where she writes on wellness, philanthropy and solo travel, driven by her personal experiences and struggles. Previously a secondary school teacher teaching English and Literature, she left in 2018 when she was selected for a leadership development program with the US State Department. The program propels her work in using storytelling for bold and comprehensive changes to mental health healing, acceptance and support in the community.

She uses writing and stories to raise awareness and funds for social issues as well, including orphans, refugees and women with HIV. She has also built an online peer support group for Muslim women who struggle with mental health issues.

Atikah has been featured on multiple local and international media, including BBC, Huffington Post and Channel NewsAsia.
